The mission of Susan E. McLaughlin, P.A. is to provide comprehensive accounting and tax preparation services as well as financial peace of mind to businesses and individuals. Crucial to that goal is the establishment of trusting, long term relationships with my clients. I have been preparing taxes since 1991, when I began working with H&R Block. In 1997, I had an opportunity to manage the accounting department of a Westbrook based legal and accounting firm, and in 2004, purchased the accounting branch of that business. As the owner of my own practice, I have continued to work with many of the same clients, as well as adding many more valued clients who have come in large part as referrals from my loyal clients.
Unlike larger firms, I personally prepare all tax returns and financial statements, and am accessible to answer your questions. My clients speak positively of the relaxed atmosphere they experience, and the ease of the entire process. Although the needs of my clients have changed over the years, my emphasis on building trusting relationships remains the cornerstone of my philosophy.
I currently hold a Masters of Accounting Degree with a concentration in Taxation. During my program, I received several achievement awards and graduated with a Grade Point Average of 3.97 of a possible 4.0. I continue to maintain my knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis through coursework and research.
